Privacy Policy

Every tool in the Zoo lives inside your browser. Paste something into a hash calculator, and the hashing happens on your device: your input never travels to us, because there is no server on our side waiting to receive it. The site itself is just static files, served by a CDN like any other webpage.

If you only read one section, read this one: we don't have your data, because our architecture makes it impossible for us to have your data. The rest of this page is the technical detail behind that sentence, written for people who want to verify it themselves.

Nothing you type, paste, or upload into a tool. There are no accounts, no registration, and no user database. Your input exists in your browser's memory while you work and is gone when you close the tab.

What the infrastructure does see: standard HTTP requests (the same kind any static website receives), so the CDN can deliver the page to you. Basic aggregate analytics tell us which pages are popular and where things break; we don't build behavioral profiles. Ads that may appear on the site are served by Google AdSense; see the Advertising section below for what that means for your data.

On your device. When you hash a string, the Web Crypto API does the work. When you format code, your browser's JavaScript engine does the work. This isn't a special setup: it's just how the tools are built.

Want proof? Open your browser's network monitor (F12 → Network) and use any tool. You'll see requests for page files and nothing else. Your input never appears in the request list, because it never leaves your machine.

We don't set tracking cookies ourselves. Cloudflare's CDN may set essential cookies for content delivery and security (strictly necessary, no behavioral tracking). The aggregate analytics mentioned above may set their own cookies to record page visits; you can block these via your browser's privacy settings without affecting how the tools work.

The essential cookies from Cloudflare are required for content delivery and DDoS protection; they don't profile your behavior. Disabling them in your browser will break page loading, so leave them on.

Two. Cloudflare delivers our static files and routes traffic at the edge; it may keep standard server logs (IP addresses, user agents, timestamps), handled under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. Google AdSense, our advertising partner, is described in the Advertising section below. We also use third-party analytics to understand aggregate traffic; those services are mentioned in the Cookies section above and operate under their own privacy policies.

We embed no third-party social widgets. Your browser makes external requests for fonts, icons, the advertising partner above (on pages that show ads), and the analytics services mentioned in the Cookies section. That's the full list.

Some pages show ads served through Google AdSense, Google's program for displaying advertisements on participating sites. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com). Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. The NAI's opt-out page (https://thenai.org/opt-out) provides an additional way to disable interest-based advertising.

Non-personalized ads are still served if you opt out; they are selected using contextual information (page topic, language) rather than your browsing history. AdSense vendors may still receive your IP address and user agent to deliver and measure ads; those signals are not combined with a behavioral profile on our side.

There's nothing to retain. Tool inputs live in your browser's memory and are cleared the moment you close the tab or navigate away. We have no servers storing your past sessions: the Zoo doesn't keep visitor records.

Because the tools don't transmit input, we collect no personal data from anyone, of any age. No accounts means there's nothing to sign a child up for, and no data means no parental consent is needed for the same reason.

If our infrastructure or the law changes, this page will change with it. The date at the top shows when it was last revised: that's the only notification you'll get, so check back if it matters to you.
