Privacy Policy

Every tool on UFOZoo runs in your browser. To take the microphone test as an example, the audio your browser captures is analyzed on your own device and is not transmitted to a server: the site has no backend that could receive it. The site itself consists of static files delivered by a CDN, like any other static webpage.

The position can be stated in one sentence: we do not hold visitor data, because no part of the architecture holds visitor data. The sections below set out the technical basis for that statement, for visitors who wish to verify it themselves.

Nothing that a visitor types, pastes, or uploads into a tool is collected. There are no accounts, no registration, and no user database. Input exists only in the browser's memory and is cleared when the tab is closed.

What the infrastructure does receive is standard HTTP request data, the same kind of request any static website receives, used by the CDN to deliver the page. Aggregate analytics show which pages are visited and where faults occur; they do not build individual behavioral profiles. Some pages display ads served by Google AdSense; the Advertising and Personalization section below describes how that data is handled.

On the visitor's device. A microphone test analyzes the signal with the Web Audio API; a mouse test reads input through Pointer Events. This is not a special configuration but the way the tools are built.

To verify this, open your browser's network panel (F12 → Network) and use any tool. The request list will contain page file requests and nothing else; your input will not appear, because it never leaves your machine.

We set no tracking cookies ourselves. Cloudflare's CDN may set cookies required for content delivery and security, which fall under the strictly necessary category and are not used for behavioral tracking. The aggregate analytics service mentioned above may set its own cookies to record page visits; these can be blocked through your browser's privacy settings without affecting the tools.

Cloudflare's necessary cookies support content delivery and DDoS protection and are not used to build behavioral profiles. Disabling them will prevent pages from loading, so they should be left enabled.

There are two. Cloudflare delivers our static files and routes traffic at edge locations; it may retain standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp), handled under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. Google AdSense is our advertising provider and is described in the Advertising and Personalization section below. We also use a third-party analytics service to understand aggregate traffic, described in the Cookies section above; each service operates under its own privacy policy.

We embed no third-party social components. External requests made by the browser cover fonts and icons, the advertising provider on pages that display ads, and the analytics service described above. That is the complete list.

Some pages display advertising served through Google AdSense, Google's program for placing ads on participating sites. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com); the NAI opt-out page (https://thenai.org/opt-out) provides an additional way to disable interest-based advertising.

Non-personalized advertising is still served after opting out; such ads are selected using contextual information such as page topic and language rather than browsing history. AdSense and its partners may still receive your IP address and user agent in order to deliver and measure ads; we do not associate those signals with a behavioral profile.

There is nothing to retain. Tool input exists only in browser memory and is cleared when the tab is closed or the page is left. We operate no servers that store past sessions and keep no visitor records.

Because the tools do not transmit input, we collect no personal data from users of any age. With no accounts, there is nothing for a child to register; with no data collection, no parental consent is required.

This page will be revised when our infrastructure or applicable law changes. The date at the top of the page indicates the most recent revision. We provide no notification beyond updating this page, so visitors who care about data handling should check back periodically.
